Privacy Policy
Multipoo is a mobile game where you walk a dog and pick up after it. This policy explains what information the game and the services it relies on collect, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the Multipoo app on iOS and Android.
Who we are
Multipoo is made by Newgarden Solutions LLC ("we", "us"). For anything about your data, write to newgardensolutionsllc@gmail.com.
The short version
- You never create an account, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress is saved on your device, with a backup copy in the cloud tied to a random identifier.
- The game shows ads. Where the law requires it, we ask before any ad is personalised, and ads still work (less tailored) if you say no.
- Analytics and crash reports are only collected where you have allowed them or where no consent is required.
- Notifications are sent only if you allow them, and only news about the game, such as a new version.
- Profile → Delete data erases your progress on the device, the cloud copy and the random identifier.
What we collect, and why
Your game progress
Your level, experience, coins, gems, upgrades, missions, the looks you own and wear, your best score, whether you have finished the first walk, the counters that pace ads and daily rewards, and a number that picks your generated player name. It is stored on your device and copied to Google Cloud Firestore so it can be restored if you reinstall.
The copy is filed under a random identifier created by Firebase Authentication's anonymous sign-in. It is not linked to your name, email or any account you have elsewhere.
Why: to keep your progress, which is the service you asked for.
Your settings (sound, vibration, controls, language, notifications) stay on your device only.
Analytics
Google Analytics for Firebase records what happens in the game: runs started and ended (distance, score, why the run ended), missions completed, levels reached, shop visits and items bought with in-game currency, and purchases. It also receives an app-instance identifier, device model, operating-system version, app version, language and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address.
Why: to understand which parts of the game work and where players get stuck, so it can be improved. We do not use analytics to target ads.
Crash reports
Firebase Crashlytics receives a report when the game crashes or hits an error: the technical trace, device model, operating-system version, app version, a Crashlytics installation identifier, the screen you were on, the seed of the current run, and the random identifier your progress is saved under.
Why: to find and fix bugs.
Game settings
The game downloads its current settings, such as prices, rewards and how often ads appear, from Firebase Remote Config. To do that it sends a Firebase installation identifier (a random identifier for this installation), the app version, and the device's language and country. Nothing about how you play is sent to get the settings.
Why: to adjust the game's balance without an app update.
Advertising
Ads are served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google receives your device's advertising identifier (the IDFA on iOS if you allow tracking, or the Android advertising ID), your IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested, and ads are personalised only if you agree. If you do not agree, you still see ads, but they are not based on your interests. In some US states, the same form lets you opt out of your data being used for personalised advertising. On iOS, the game also asks the system's permission to track; ads are shown whatever you answer.
How Google uses this information is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Why: ads are what keep the game free.
Notifications
After you have played a few times, the game asks your phone's permission to send notifications. If you allow them, Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your device a push token (a random identifier used to deliver messages to this installation) and subscribes it to one topic, which says the language the game is in. We use it to send the same message to everyone, such as news of an update. The token is not stored with your game progress and is not linked to your name, email or any other account.
If you never allow notifications, no token is created.
Why: to tell you about updates to the game.
Purchases
Payments are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play; we never see your card or payment details. RevenueCat, which manages purchases for us, receives your purchase history, the store's receipt and the random identifier your progress is saved under, so a purchase such as Remove Ads can be restored.
Why: to deliver and restore what you bought.
Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
- Contract: saving your progress and delivering purchases.
- Consent: analytics, crash reports, personalised ads and notifications. You can withdraw it at any time (see below).
- Legitimate interests: showing non-personalised ads to fund the game, and keeping the service secure.
Who receives it
We share information only with the service providers named above, who process it for us:
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, AdMob) — privacy policy
- RevenueCat — privacy policy
- Apple and Google, as the app stores that process payments
We do not sell your personal information for money. These providers may process data in the United States and other countries; where data leaves the EEA or UK, they rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Game progress: until you delete it with Delete data, or ask us to.
- Analytics event data: no longer than 14 months.
- Crash reports: 90 days.
- Push token: until you use Delete data. Firebase also expires a token that goes unused for 270 days.
- Purchase records: as long as the stores and tax law require.
Your choices
- Delete your data: Profile → Delete data. This removes your progress from the device and the cloud and deletes the random identifier and the push token. Purchases stay with your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored.
- Notifications: Settings → Notifications in the game, or your phone's own notification settings. Turning them off stops them at once.
- Change your consent: Settings → Privacy choices (shown where Google's consent form applies).
- Tracking on iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Advertising ID on Android: Settings → Google → Ads, where you can delete it.
- Anything else: email us. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to complain to your data protection authority. We answer within 30 days.
Because we do not know who you are, we may ask you for the player name shown on your Profile so we can find your data.
Children
Multipoo is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the game, contact us and we will delete their data.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and the cloud copy can only be read by the identifier it belongs to. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect to the minimum the game needs.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will say so in the game.
